AllVideos Reloaded is a rewrite of the famous AllVideos plugin, targeted natively for Joomla! 1.5
It also features many new options which now all can be overridden in the markup code. The builtin flash video player has been updated to its latest version and is highly customable now. Instead of using individually handcrafted JavaScript code in companion with the eolas, the plugin now uses swfobject 2.0 for embedding the player into the page. External video-sites have been cleaned up and adapted to external changes.
Those changes made it necessary to modify a few tags, however the big majority is completely compatible with the original old plugin.
There's also a mod_avreloaded now, which - in cooperation with the plugin - allows to place a player in any module position. Note: "in cooperation" means: mod_avreloaded needs the plugin installed and activated in order to work.
Other planned features:
- Move the video type description into a database table.
- Add an administration interface for importing new video sites into that database.
- More configurables for the builtin player
- Capability to play videos from other sites with the builtin player without the need of a crossdomain.xml on the remote site. (With the help of a server-side proxy designed specifically for that purpose) - For now, only on linux servers.
- A video upload tool which automatically converts various video formats into FLV - For now, only on linux servers.
