This Community Builder plugin will allow you to insert any component assigned to a menu item into a CB tab. The site template is stripped out, allowing only  the component content to appear in the tab.

Note: Care should be taken to test the resulting tab content thoroughly. More complex components may have internal linking created in such a way that the redirections "jump out" of the CB tab and either insert the full Joomla template into the tab or redirect to a new page (leave the tab).
