This module is essentially the code from mod_visitors_counter but instead of showing the count in text, it is shown using numeric digit graphics. Several different styles are provided with the module, and it is relatively easy to add more.

The Cool Hits Counter is a Joomla site
visit counter module modeled after
mod_visitors_counter but which shows
the count using graphics instead of
text. Several digit styles are
provided. The benefit of using this
counter is that it does not rely on any
external source that benefits from hits
to your site. It is completely
contained within your site and uses hit
statistics built into Joomla.
